Sam M. Coryell is the founder of Coryell Collaborative Group, a growing leader in multifamily investment, operations management, and development for innovative apartment communities. As president, Sam M. leads the organization’s board of directors, investors, and leadership team in the overall strategic vision, company structure, and growth for the five businesses under the CCG umbrella:• TLC Properties; a real estate and property management company specializing in multifamily housing, founded by Sam Coryell and Carol W. Coryell Carnes in 1988.• TLC Realty; brokers new land acquisitions and connects properties with third-party operators.• Good Deal Development; handles preconstruction work such as site identification, permitting, financing, and zoning.• Team C Construction; a general contracting and owners' representative firm.• Coryell Enterprises; conducts painting, carpet cleaning, drywall, and finishing services for all TLC Properties.Under Sam M.’s leadership, TLC Properties has increased its portfolio from 2,800 units in 2014 to 4,000 in 2020 and has planned incremental growth to double in five and triple in 10 years. Sam has led the organization through an economic downturn, restructuring, and national partnerships – each with positive outcomes that ultimately led to a stronger, more resilient organization able to thrive at every turn.Managing member for several regional multifamily properties, Sam’s exhaustive experience in multifamily began in 1994 and expands beyond leadership. He understands the nuances and needs of owners, investors, and operations alike. Sam M. is a member of the National Apartment Association, Springfield Apartment, and Housing Association and was part of the 911 Advisory Committee to the Governor of Missouri. In addition, he has served as an advisor, friend, and benefactor for many organizations, including the March of Dimes, WorldServe International, and Ozarks Regional YMCA Board of Directors. Sam M. holds a B.A. in Construction Management from Missouri State University and resides in Springfield, MO, with his wife Jennifer and their two children, Samuel and Lydia.
