I am a qualified counterbalance and reach truck forklift operator. My responsibilities are to accept deliveries from suppliers making sure the product is compliant with company standards. As well as receiving I am responsible for shipping orders out. My other duties are to count inventory on a regular basis. Assisting the management on a daily basis to control stock within the stores is a necessary part of my job. I use a PC and the company's online system to complete paperwork, create spreadsheets etc.

After travelling in New Zealand I was offered contract employment with Xpanda Security based in Auckland. I was appointed as a Steel Fabricator/Welder and due to my quick progression I was offered a permanent contract.My duties included selecting and preparing metal stock for processing. Cutting, shaping, drilling and bending metal components by using machine tools. I am trained to weld every product that the company manufactured. I also clean and smooth welds by filing, chiseling and grinding. Working in a small team I developed my skills in team work, problem solving and communication and took charge of identifying opportunities for efficiency and managing health and safety risks. I was responsible for the pick up and delivery of steel products to customers and suppliers and also assisted with installation providing exceptional customer service throughout.

My duties were to assist the Team Leader to prepare a morning brief on a daily basis and I was also trusted to lead the team in his absence. I also worked on the production line fitting parts to the engine. I have learnt all the jobs available in my department such as crankshaft and camshaft fit, pistons assembly and fit, fuel pumps, cooling jets etc. I also worked in the quality control department where my duties were to make sure all parts are fitted correctly and that the product was ready for shipment.
