Skills and experience include:• Management of a multidisciplinary team of trades people supplied by both the government and Spotless. Develop a sense of team with both trade groups and subcontractors.• Management of a large pool of subcontractors for the maintenance and repairs of all hospital plant and equipment and building services.Assist in the development of networks between subcontractors to provide a multidisciplinary support to complex systems such as cogeneration.• Review, implement and monitor a large preventative maintenance plan for all site services and infrastructure.• Work with key subcontractors to maximise the performance and reliability of the co-generation plant under tight budget conditions.• Build a partnership with the client to provide the best end user outcomes.• Work with the client to develop and implement strategies to reduce energy use for the site.

Skills and experience include:• Management of the on-site trade team along with 30 or more key subcontracting companies to deliver a broad contract scope that includes all building services, security and access control systems and grounds and gardens.• Development of systems to manage the asset management documentation to ensure compliance with Australian Standards.• Establishment of a relationship with the client to understand the hospital’s needs and requirements.• Liaising with consultants, architects, and engineers in the development of solutions that best suit the hospital’s needs.• Involvement with and management of project works including:o Boiler replacemento Air conditioning infrastructure replacement such as chillers, air handling units, pumps, and variable speed drives.o Sewer stack replacement programs.o Building Management System replacement.o Sterilizer replacement.o Security system and access control upgrades.o Refurbishment of hospital wards.o Energy performance upgrades and building systems recommissioning.o Develop a way finding system and general signage.• Implementation of a risk assessment and hazard reporting program for the on-site team.• Development of a training matrix and training program for the team and assistance in its implementation.• Work closely with the OHS&W manager in creating ‘Safe Operating Procedures’ and ‘Safe Work Method Statements’ for site equipment and tasks.• Conducting training sessions for the maintenance team and chairing the monthly ‘toolbox’ meeting to discuss site safety and operational issues.• Presenting the ‘Fire and Life Safety’ training sessions for all hospital staff.• Development and implementation of an induction system for all staff and contractors.• Development of a waste management and recycling program in consultation with a waste management service provider.• Active pursuit of solutions to assist the hospital in day to day operations.

Additional skills and experience include:Restructuring of the admin team to increase productively including redefining of roles and responsibly to better serve the client.• Implementation of a safety training program with the goal of achieving a greater site safety culture.• Providing discipline to staff members due to behavioural issues.• Review of contractor performance and associated costs to achieve savings within the maintenance budget.• Redevelopment and provision of the monthly client report.• Attendance at monthly client meetings and provision of site maintenance status and key risk areas.
