Most recently, I was employed as the Director of Communications and Youth Programming at the grassroots nonprofit, Fuerza Unida. I graduated from UT Austin in 2022 with degrees in Psychology and Human Dimensions of Organizations. I firmly believe that I have the skills and experience to excel at my role and make the connections necessary to improve my organization. My professional interests include learning from leaders in other nonprofits and to become exposed to other communities/ careas through travel, then bringing this information back to Fuerza Unida to further our mission and reach more people.I am proud of my roots as a Latinx person hailing from the Southwest side of San Antonio. Prior to attending UT, a PWI, I had never really thought about my culture. I have since learned to own who I am and advocate for those coming from similar backgrounds. I think this is why I chose to go into the nonprofit sector with a focus on supporting marginalized/minority groups. In my free time, I make efforts to stay involved in my community by volunteering and supporting Latinx-owned businesses. I aim to use the knowledge and skills gained from a successful career to lift-up and support the city, communities, and culture that raised me.
