Sam McGovern, a 22 year old singer songwriter and guitarist from Perth Western Australia was born and raised by a strong combination of music and the ocean. From a young age Sam had either a guitar in hand or a surfboard under his arm, these two hobbies therefore became second nature to him. 
Spending most of his time on the road travelling around the coast, Sam derives experiences from those moments and en-captures these songs. He approaches songwriting as a way of expressing feelings that come unspoken in his life, when words fail, music speaks. His stories are told through heartfelt and honest lyrics that unravel a deeper meaning.
Bursting into the Perth music scene, Sam has been selling out shows all over the State attracting huge audiences. He has supported the likes of Riley Pearce, Jordy Maxwell, The Money War and many more.
Sam appeared as a contestant on the TV show “The Voice” Australia for Season 11 2022. On his blind audition he turned 2 chairs ( Keith Urban & Jessica Mauboy ) and gained the praise from all 4 judges. Sam joined team Keith Urban during the show.
His Debut single "Grow" was nominated for a Wam_music Song Of The Year 2021. Sam has also been featured on numerous radio stations such as ABC Radio & RTR FM 
Sam's Debut Single "Grow" was written in the deep south of Western Australia in Denmark. "Grow" unravels the journey of accepting doubt and negative feelings, but staying true, knowing that someday in the future you'll feel yourself again.
