During my youth apprenticeship, I focused on software engineering. A youth apprenticeship allows highschool juniors and senior the opportunity to get real world experience by working at companies during the school day and get paid for it. The youth apprenticeship requires its apprentices to be in good academic standing with their school and work 450 hours during the YA. I completed these two requirements and finished with about 1500 hours in total. I created numerous applications for testing different things on Oshkosh's trucks. For these applications, I utilized my strong Python programming skills, implementing higher levels of programming such as multiprocessing, IoT, and GUIs into this testing applications. For one of my testing applications, I saved the company a total of 320+ hours of labor each year by automating some of their truck testing. During my time at Oshkosh, I had the opportunity to work on a software release for their S-Series cement truck, which got release to customers in June of 2022. A challenging aspect of this software release for me was learning and using C++, which very different from Python. I utilized Creo parametric to create an electrical harness for a prototype LED panel.

My main responsibilities as the president consist of managing captains, primary club contact, and leading weekly club meetings.In addition to responsibilities as president, I am leading the club's T-Rex program, which takes brand new club members to level one certification holders. I have decreased build timeline of our T-Rex rockets by leveraging model creation automation tools.For R&D efforts, I am in the beginning stages of creating a high altitude, high powered rocket program within the club.

I moved my way up from dishwasher to line cook. I frequently lead the kitchen during service Fri-Sun, which includes calling orders, coordinating with line cooks, and plating all dishes for guests. Field & Fire is a scratch kitchen so on the weekends I would learn scratch cooking techniques and best practices from my colleagues. I learned how to communicate effectively under pressure and stress at Field & Fire, giving clear and concise requests and answers.
