Beat reporter covering the Nebraska football and women's basketball teams. Our sports section has won several "Triple Crown" and "Grand Slam" awards from the Associated Press Sports Editors. I've won several APSE awards. Most recently, I won first place in 2018 for breaking news. In the last several years, I have been a host of the Pick Six Podcast, a weekly podcast covering Nebraska athletics. I'm responsible for the show's content and topic list. I do stand-up post-game videos after each Husker football game and after several practices.

In coordination with company owner and web design professionals, helped launch an independent Nebraska athletics Web site that steadily grew in traffic over four years. Managed the site daily, updating content, conversing with members and users, connecting with fans, and coordinating photography. Also managed and wrote for a daily state newspaper Web site, managing content, working with an editor and keeping track of traffic via Google Analytics.

Prior to my analyst position, I worked at Perot Systems starting in 2004. I initially started in the customer service center, providing real-time assistance and updates to financial planners and agents. From there, I moved to service analysis, tracking better ways to provide assistance and training workers in a variety of scenarios, most specifically high-tension, problem-solving situations. I moved then to supervisor, where I worked for three years supervising up to 15 people on audit analysis work. I kept schedules, met with workers on performance, coordinated with bosses and clients over service goals and execution. Toward the end of this role, I was asked to participate in an offshore initiative in which workers from India assumed some of the processing roles previously done onshore. This process included creating best practice manuals, training in an cross-cultural environment, measuring progress, and continuing follow-up via Web meetings over the next several months. In the analyst role, I examined claims and financial transactions for validity and fraud, helping to reduce a massive backload and assist claimants in a timely manner.
