With over seven years of experience in the field of recreation, I have a large amount of experience in a broad range of recreational activities and have acquired numerous skills which would benefit both public and private recreational facilities. Those skills include, but are not limited to:-Event planning-Running activities-Community involvement-Team building/mentoring-Working in a fast-moving environment-Being able to work under pressure/in an emergency-And moreBeing trained in First Aid and being trained as a First Aid Instructor and Examiner, I take safety extremely seriously and consider the Risk Management plans when planning and running events and activities. Four years of experience in summer camps in aquatics and support staff roles have taught me to work and make decisions in a quick and changing environment. The camp environment allowed me to work long hours with people of all ages and manage staff and schedules as well as oversee necessary pool maintenance and water quality. While working for FedEx Canada, I worked in a fast past environment both as a team and individually by driving and delivering packages to residences and businesses in the local community. One of my goals is to help create an environment for people to work and have a successful career in recreation and reward them with a living wage and great opportunities.
