I am passionate about food science and technology and their roles in improving the quality of life for people around the world.I have been a food scientist for over 25 years and in that time, I have been involved in technical leadership, academic research, practical laboratory activities and management of projects throughout the food industry. I have published over 90 papers throughout my career and held a Professorship at the University of Nottingham in the period 2009-2018.My current role is Quality Director at Warburtons Ltd, the UK’s largest branded bakery supplier, where I am responsible for product and packaging quality, food safety and regulatory compliance. Prior to this, I was the Technology Director at Campden BRI where I led a team that offered technical services to the global food and drink industry.
