I have worked at Barclays twice in the PPI department in-between University terms. I have developed an extensive knowledge of Payment Protection Insurance and general complaints procedure through these roles. I am currently studying Journalism at Kingston University, however my experience working for Barclays has opened my mind to working in finance, especially while I'm on time off from University. I have a strong understanding of customer service and would say that my customer service is exceptional. My customer service skills were mainly developed in my first spell at Barclays but continued to develop in my second. Although the second time at Barclays I took a more off the phone role. Being involved in a few other project, details below. Problem solving is something which I feel strongly suited to and I have a knowledge of managing problems too. These are all skills which were exhibited in my last role at Barlcays.

Ppi Complaint Handler- TelephonyBarclays May 2013 - Sep 2013Similar to my previous role at Barclays, exceptional customer service was key to this role. As well as taking inbound calls I also worked on an outbound calling project to contact customers about their PPI policies.I was also one of the two person team responsible for reporting and investigating Data Protection breaches. This would require a complete investigation into the event, notifying the correct team and advising problems areas where to improve their processes to prevent further DPA breaches. I also worked on cases, looking into decisioning errors and sending cases back to the correct teams to be amended before a final decision was made. As well as reopening complaints which had been decisioned incorrectly. -
