My role is to support and deliver the plant maintenance strategy through a detailed engineering plan, involving administrative activities, spare parts management and following WCM project routes. I help to promote and drive continuous improvement activities through the use of TPM, Lean and Six Sigma.I have managed and mentored an undergraduate engineer, introducing them into a maintenance management system. I actively contribute to management of safety standards by ensuring safety management systems are implemented for employees and contractors. Whilst delivery of proactive safety systems are adhered to, including SMAT, area inspections, auditing of contractors & permit-to-work.I produce detailed weekly / monthly engineering plans to support the delivery of the plant maintenance strategy. This includes spare parts management, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, maintenance requests and resource allocation. I regularly review the PM calendar based upon equipment failure analysis and manage a communication system with other areas of the plant regarding maintenance issues, so that appropriate action can be taken.I use leadership skills to manage the engineering stores operation to ensure maximum spare parts availability at minimum cost and ensure effective control of parts through SAP.

As a maintenance planner I am involved in the planning, assembly, and issuance of all planned maintenance work orders for electrical and automation systems within the site, such as, the inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation of all pneumatic instruments, electronic and electrical plant equipment and systems. My role also includes:-Developing work orders and use supporting work documentation within a CMMS system (Maximo) which follows management expectations for work order development and meeting KPI targets.-Plan and distribute work order changes as requested for assigned work orders.-Provide planning support with the necessary information to order and stage material for assigned work orders in the planning process.-Ensure that worker involvement, feedback, and continuous improvements are part of the work control process.- Ensure all work activities, both performed and planned, are accomplished in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner in accordance with company and facility procedures and policies.My role also requires the ability to prioritise, plan effectively, and excellent communication skills, with my maintenance skills utilised as required.
