At times we find ourselves passing through gateways that encroach within our field of expertise. Yet, we can't fathom employing our skills in that sector. Such is the case with the serendipitous events that lead to my Co-founding IBS1®️ with Dr. Levi.The heart of IBS1®️ is to address the pandemic of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Estimates place the affected at 10-20% (USA). Others put it even higher (16-24%). Most disturbing is that the level of patient debilitation is 25 to 33% of this population. These statistics paint a dire situation, desperate for attention. At IBS1®,️ we focus only on helping curb & even eradicate our patient's negative IBS symptoms. This focus includes not only physical symptoms but also the associated negative emotional & consequential symptoms.Treating patients on a one-on-one basis since 2000, Dr. Levi's program continued to provide a notably high level of success. But, this method limited the number of patients she was able to reach. As as I worked with Dr. Levi, transforming various aspects of the tech & marketing side of her practice, I recognized this as a problem. After a few years, we merged efforts to create IBS1®️, also formulating the embodiment of strategies to help patients in what we coined as EmergedHealth™.By combining my experience & entrepreneurial strategies, with Dr. Levi's medical knowledge & expertise, IBS1®️ has morphed into a robust semi-live educational-based online program. This change brings the healing capacity of EmergedHealth™ to all who suffer from the symptoms of IBS. Since IBS is an illness where patients are most often left with nowhere to turn, this brings a ray of hope to the countless millions suffering from this malady.At IBS1®️, I oversee operations, technology, & marketing. I hope to leverage EmergedHealth™ into the first stop for treatment after patients exhaust the options offered by standard medical care. IBS is not a disorder with geographical boundaries. Its prevalence varies from country to country, with some areas affected even higher than the USA. Thus, as we progress, we hope to ferry EmergedHealth™ into other languages, beginning with Spanish & Mandarin.We recently completed a pilot program to give our online program a test run. We learned quite a bit through this process. We are now busy implementing new techniques & technology to not only make EmergedHealth™ more robust, but also to increase patient participation & captivation. We know this will contribute to even greater patient success, & as we say, help patients "step back into their lives."
