Began studying Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin Business School.

Began training with various supervisors to learn the duties of Department Management in September 2018. By EOFY in 2019, I was enlisted to be the team Leading Hand when it was required of me. This meant making decisions on work directions, completing relevant paperwork, consulting with other department supervisors, answering leadership emails, answering department phone, ensuring safety standards were adhered to, fulfilling management obligations, establishing and organizing areas for future work & assisting supervisor with ad-hoc tasks which required completion.

Qualified early from my Apprenticeship and joined the Panel 3 Excavator Crew at Cloudbreak Minesite.

Last year of Apprenticeship completed at Fortescue's Locomotive workshop. We are responsible for diagnosing and rectifying Locomotive fleet issues and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. This required consultation with Port Authority, Railway Corridor Access licensing and Safe Operating Procedures at all times including when working within multiple railway cross overs.

Moved to Cloudbreak Minesite for exposure to CAT machinery. Experience is multiple departments throughout the main workshop and in-pit, including Ancillary, Trucks, Wirtgen Surface Miners, Excavators and Breakdowns.

First year of my Mobile Plant Technician Apprenticeship completed at Christmas Creek mine site.

Pre-Apprenticeship in Engineering to make myself more presentable when applying for an apprenticeship in Heavy Diesel Mechanics. I managed to support myself whilst studying by working at the Rose & Crown Bar and Bistro after Tafe.

A family owned business which I entered into after leaving school. I gradually learned the daily operations of the business and would ultimately become accountable to manage the business unsupervised for 2 days per week. The business included 9 casual staff members and required developed customer service skills, strong management skills, high stakeholder engagement and ethical and mature action. The role was demanding for a man at 19 years of age, however was the foundation of the confident individual I am today.
