Provided advice to the Western Waterfront Steering group regarding Environment protection issues including contaminated land and remediation of land; the importance of the Gloucester Sharpness Canal as a potable supply and pollution risks in the Gloucester Quays area. • Influenced developers to incorporate SUDS in a large development in Brockworth, which will improve the water quality of the Wotton Brook.RUGBY AREA and EVESHAM AREA 03/1997 – 12/1998 • Responsibilities as above.• Attended pollutions/incidents, fish kills, taking samples from discharge points, including formal samples, farm visits/inspections, giving talks at schools, undertaking pollution prevention visits and setting up discharge consents.• Identified cross connections in Rugby, work on Sow Brook, Identified and rectified Chlorine levels from Swimming pool causing General Quality Assessment (GQA) failures• Involved in Railtrack diesel clean up, costing £0.5 million.• Attended Agenda 21 meetings and other public meetings.
