Process Engineering ManagerFluor Enterprises, Inc. Jan 2008 - Feb 2009Sugar Land, TexasValero St. Charles Refinery Projects – Norco, LouisianaProcess Engineering Supervision and Management on two St. Charles Refinery Projects:1. Coke Drum Replacement and Delayed Coker ExpansionDetailed process engineering and disciplines support of addition and enhancements to an existing Delayed Coker facility involving the addition of new equipment and modification of existing equipment that will increase the capacity of the existing Delayed Coker Unit (DCU) by about 15 percent to 79,000BPSD of fresh feed. 2. FEED quality process engineering on a major new Aromatics Complex at the St. Charles Refinery. The project involves a UOP-licensed Catalytic Reforming Unit (CRU) of the continuous regeneration type (CCR), together with an Aromatics Complex to be executed in two phases. Phase 1 includes a UOP-licensed Sulfolane Extraction Unit, a Tatoray Process Unit, and two Para-Xylene Production Units. In addition, Fluor will perform a complete design and engineering of a new Reformate Splitter to be added to Valero’s West Plant Existing CRU.

Senior Supervising ProcessTechnip Usa Mar 2005 - Jun 2008Houston, Texas AreaProcess management of two project execution phases of a highly confidential demonstration facility designed and engineered to validate a competitive new conversion technology for Chevron. The initial execution phase of the project involved a Scope Definition Phase of the facility, leading to complete development of a FEED package to serve as the basis for detailed engineering, procurement and construction of the experimental facility.Process Engineering of major modifications to Pipestill 3 (PS-3) of the ExxonMobil Baytown refinery involving Unit Debottlenecking and Cutpoint Improvement. This project will install facilities to increase the feed rate to the unit to 100,000 BPSD and increase the atmospheric tower (APS) cutpoint by some 80oF. The bulk of the modifications are relegated to the APS tower (i.e. internals, pumparound capacity, recommissioning of an idle HAGO sidestream, etc.). Jet OPDS Project (Offshore Petroleum Discharge System)Military Sealift Command (MSC)Project consultancy and technical support regarding the safety and contamination hazards of transferring JP5 and/or JP8 jet fuels from a tanker to the beach via an 8-mile long flexible flowline using Technip’s proprietary flexible design and fabrication. Vacuum Heater Transfer Line Detailed Hydraulic EvaluationSUNCOR Energy Products Ltd., Sarnia, OntarioIn order to meet new process conditions and to resolve existing operational problems of coking in tubes, Suncor/Colt awarded KTI a detailed engineering design to revamp the Sarnia, Ontario Vacuum Heater at their Plant 2 Vacuum Unit. The scope of detailed engineering work included a detailed evaluation and design of the transfer line from the heater outlet to the vacuum column inlet. The objectives of this evaluation were to use SIMSCI’s INPLANT hydraulic simulation software to validate KTI’s initial predictions of the transfer line pressure drop, and as a result, confirm the assumed Vacuum Heater outlet pressure.
