Sam Anne Ashton grew up in southeastern Washington and began dancing at a young age. Sam graduated with a BA in choreography and performance from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2017. During her time at BYU-Idaho, Sam furthered her knowledge of modern dance, ballet, and gained skills necessary to teach and encourage others to learn in new ways. Sam has also choreographed several short works and has presented at BYU-Idaho's research and creative works conference as well as the American College Dance Association conference in Wichita, Kansas. Her goal is to become a successful Choreographer and teacher who will be able to reach people positively through her work. She strives to encourage others to explore their own creativity, to discover new ways to express themselves and to become free thinkers in today's society.
