I had previously worked in IT, events and facilities but this particular role forced me to embrace all three areas of expertise at once. I had always worked for small, family owned businesses until I joined Thales so I welcomed the step up into a global company. Initially I was responsible for arranging training events at the TLD training centre which I enjoyed but I felt I was starting to shift towards a role that incorporated more and more aspects of facilities management. After a year in the role I was starting to take on more senior responsibilities and eventually progressed into the Team Leader role.Key achievements:Promotion.Quickly adjusting to life in a global company and market leader.

Display Production ControllerExhibition Services Limited Jan 2011 - Oct 2012My role at ESL was to provide insight into events management and health & safety on a number of high profile events throughout the UK and Europe. I was also part of the build team who were responsible for configuring a number of stands at each of the events. The role was great because I got to see how the entire events industry works from assisting customers on floor walks to HSE matters behind the scenes. I cannot stress how much I learnt in this role!!Key achievements:Events management in every major city in the UK.Events management in the likes of Paris, Copenhagen and Geneva.Part of the team that secured the Diabetes UK & BAD UK contracts for consecutive years.

I went from being a Warehouse Assistant to Site Manager with a stop off as Spares Manager on the way.
