I currently work in primary schools delivering PE Lessons and working alongside the teachers. I plan and prepare the sports provision and also help run their school teams.

I helped work with children between the ages of 10-16 develop their sporting knowledge and introduced them to sports that they may not have played before. I ensured they were all engaged and active whilst at the youth club and gave them new sporting ideas to try for the future. We engaged with sports such as danish longball to gymnastics. All the children thoroughly enjoyed my time there as They day it also helped them with any problems they may be having outside of school.

Whilst at Premiersport I have gained valuable skills including high communication skills and organisational skills. My role as a premier sport coach is to teach children PE in schools involving various different sports. I am knowledgeable in most sports and now have experience coaching every sport under the curriculum. This role has allowed me to be a highly motivated person, talk to anyone with confidence, organise my work, work well as a team when needed and set myself targets to achieve. I believe these skills are transferable in any aspect of work.

As a personal trainer I learnt valuable business skills that I will use in any aspect of my work. It was a self-employed position therefore I had to build my own client base in order to build a successful business. This is where my communication skills were important and I believe I now speak with confidence to any individual I now meet. I had to plan and organise myself to achieve success within the industry along with building a rapport with clients which was one of the most important aspects to becoming a self-employed personal trainer.This is where I also used my sales/marketing skills in order to gain new connections and new clients. I handed out leaflets to people in the local area aswell as taking some free fitness classes to try and build new contacts. The aim for these free classes were for me to sell myself and my skills in order to gain new clients. I feel my experience at Fitness First has allowed me to keep myself highly motivated and have confidence in my work.
