Stock Controller
CurrentIn my current role I am responsible for the high value of stock control, I ensure the products are correct to the purchase orders and the highest quality is upheld. I control all stock in and out of production stock ensuring all traceability of each component using GRN's inline with customer's work orders. I carry out monthly stock control measures including cycle counts and cross referencing them against the company's stock management system SMS V12. I have implemented new stock control measures within the store room making it more efficient, using rack locations along with bin locations. I have also linked these to the company's management system ensuring that everyone needing to find stock can easily do so.I work closely with our suppliers to make sure quality is at the highest standard and ensure all manufacturing techniques are captured. I also organise stock items to be paint and silk screening liaising with our supplier in accordance with demand. I am also responsible for mechanical inspection making sure all goods received are to product drawings, I use multiple types of measuring equipment including Rohs testing, micro meters, bore gauges etc.Before starting this role I was taken on as a Production Technician where I assembled detectors for electron microscopes. I would use a multitude of skills which included wiring, soldering, sensor loading and testing inline with work order demand and standard operating procedures.The knowledge from my assembly role helps me to be more efficient when carrying out mechanical inspection, knowing how the components will be assembled.
