I am a professional development worker with over fifteen years of international experience gained from living or working in over 10 countries across the sub-Saharan Africa including Botswana, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. My current area of specialization is MEAL, where I am pursuing a masters degree in. My other professional skills areas are program management, organizational development, capacity building, and research. Among my skills areas include strategic planning and organizational development; donor liaison and partnership development; advocacy, policy development and implementation; resource mobilization and proposal development; grant management; small and large-scale programme and project implementation; accountability, compliance and quality assurance; capacity building; education; monitoring, evaluation and learning processes (MEAL) for development projects; and research. I also have extensive experience in consultancy services, allowing me to look at humanitarian and development activities from both sides of the implementation process. This has molded me into a versatile development worker who has over time been deployed in varying and multiple humanitarian and development areas by a number of organizations including UN-OCHA, IOM, FAO, CARE International, Save the Children, Islamic Relief, Terra Nuova, Vet-Aid, VSF, ISF, IAS, and CBM, among others.
