Graduated from Xi'an International Studies University in 2004 with a B.A. degree and the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) Sino-EU Conference Interpreter Training Program in 2009, Sam Pan is a freelance interpreter with 20 years of conference interpretation and technical translation experiences. He has interpreted over five hundred conferences and translated technical documents equivalent to 15 million Chinese characters over a broad array of topics ranging from economics to petrochemicals, engineering and medicine. In particular, he has translated some 1,000 academic papers for the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and is skilled at simultaneous interpretation at large conferences.
