I serve as a research and communications assistant, helping with the launch of the Alliance for a Sustainable Future at the George Washington University. My main role involves interviewing professors, guest speakers, and student groups on what they are working on in the field of sustainability on our campus and in the wider community. I then take these interviews and turn them into news stories to publish on our website. In addition I am working to create a social media strategy for the alliance and creating graphics and other content for social media pages which has led to a role of managing the Alliance's Instagram and LinkedIn content.

Promoted an interconnected approach to human, environmental, and animal health through the hosting of a variety of events including, field trips, volunteer work, guest speakers, and an annual One Health Day event. Led a board of student leaders in the planning and execution of these events, as well as worked with the Treasurer to create a budget each semester and raise funds through bake sales and profit shares. Additional responsibilities included creating meeting agenda, communicating upcoming events to members, and working with the Student Government Association on events.

Provided a positive and authoritative approach to guiding behavior by using age-appropriate limits and choices. Helped campers build confidence and self-esteem through consistent guidance and mentoring.During both summer of 2021 and 2022 mentored two Counselors in training teaching them how to serve as a counselor two days a week. During summer of 2022 mentored a junior counselor using my experience from the prior summer. In summer of 2023 served as a camp photographer working with campers and staff across the entire camp. During the summer of 2024 worked as part of sport staff to help foster community through fitness across of variety of sports for over 400 campers.

This internship has allowed me to pursue my goals of conservation and helping the local environment. Primary responsibilities include outreach to individuals and groups looking to volunteer with the park, as well as coordinating and tracking attendance at public volunteer events twice a month. Additionally as an educational intern I work to provide children engaging environmental activities in both small and large group settings.

Provided a warm and welcoming environment to new customers and members. Helped schedule appointments, troubleshoot billing issues, and walked customers through account setup and issues. Upkeep of store shop and gym appearance. Contacted up to 300 membership leads and gym members daily via text, email, or phone calls with information on appointments, sales, and fielding questions.

Engaged customers in friendly, professional dialogue to determine needs. Arranged new merchandise with signage and appealing displays to encourage customer sales and move overstock items.

Fielded help desk questions and fulfilled requests. Set up equipment for employee use, properly installing cables.

Organized materials, cleaned facilities, and set up equipment to prepare for events. Led groups of children, ages four to thirteen, through a variety of sports and activities.
