Raised on a 6 bail walk thru' dairy farm at Tallangatta on the mighty Mitta Mitta river. Sent to a bluestone "gaol"- boarding school in Melbourne, then off to New England Uni to do Ag. Economics.Worked as an Ag. Consultant then returned to RMIT as an "almost mature age" student to complete a Valuations course. The combination has been a marvellous basis to a very rewarding career in Ag. Economics & Vals.Have a nice work/life balance now & getting out into the wider world.Rural Valuations is a career I would exhort anyone with a strong underlying rural background or prior qualifications to consider.My other passion is trout fly fishing, & I try to get to the "east Isle" of Australia- NZ each year to chase trout.Wine is another passion & I am lucky enough to work regularly with some of Australia's most successful & innovative wine producers.I am also a strong advocate for renewables that will, if managed & encouraged, allow for a cost effective transition away from energy dinosaurs such as Hazelwood in Gippsland, the dirtiest power station on the planet.
