I spent the summer working as an intern in the accounting department at Neogen in lansing. During my time here, in addition to helping complete daily tasks for my coworkers, I was able to contribute to filing the year-end 10-k document in preparation for a financial audit, I aided in the upkeep of corporate lease accounts and helped file intercompany reconciliations to make sure transactions between foreign and domestic Neogen branches were correctly accounted for. This internship helped to better familiarize me with accounting software such as Microsoft SL and PN3, and it provided me with a comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices and their real-world applications.
