This rare combination that is my brain - equal parts technical and creative, found that designing &… Show more My experience at Australia Computer Solutions shaped my career in tech and my love for business. Quickly becaming a senior member of the network and server administration team, I had the pleasure of working on small to large-scale server and IT rollouts throughout Greater Western Sydney. The analytical and techy part of me was satiated, but I soon realised that my creative yearning was not. This rare combination that is my brain - equal parts technical and creative, found that designing & building websites was what could ultimately scratch the itch. Thus my role evolved from managing servers where websites were hosted, to actually building these websites. From scratch. Although not so long ago, this was before Content Management Systems like Wordpress had taken off, and so a lot of it was done the "old-fashioned way": through raw, oft-headache-inducing code.Fast forward a couple more years and I was lead website developer, working with a range of clients small & large. Whilst I was always client-facing, this role had me project managing and nurturing client relationships in a way that a server administrator couldn't. It was here that I got a taste for what websites truly mean to businesses: a tool for marketing that, if leveraged correctly, are pivotal to business growth. Show less
