I am in charge of a caregiver study that deals with stress associated of caring for someone that has received a bone marrow transplant. During this year long study I meet with the many caregivers and coordinate times for blood draws as well as appointments with social workers. I am the "face" of the study for many and work to answer any questions or problems caregivers may have. I also do data entry and analysis related to questionnaires the caregivers have filled out. With collected blood samples I will complete a multitude of assays and make sure those are done with great care. With many undergraduates coming to the lab to gain experience I am responsible for their learning and safety while there. As study coordinator I complete administrative duties such as schedule meetings, write up the minutes from the meetings, and communicating with all members of the team to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
