Currently provide Tier-II support in the ERP team for the Kronos Timekeeping System to all users with the University of Kansas Health System. Prior to my current role, I provided support in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support services for server level enterprise imaging applications and imaging medical devices. My responsibilities included maintaining end-to-end enterprise imaging servers and applications, as well as assessing the impact of organizational change, and identifying the opportunities and threats surrounding the Diagnostic Imaging and PACS systems. I also provided Tier-II support to Radiology IT, ED, MICU, and Surgery departments on respective imaging systems, as well as an escalation point for the on-site IT support group in Radiology, Mammography Reporting Systems, and Decision Support Systems as a tie back to HITS (Health Information Technology Services) for related systems issues.

Provided systems administration solutions including maintaining hardware/software on all servers and workstations within SLCC network and campuses, monitoring interfaces that provide integration to the NextGen and Epic EMR systems. I also supported ShoreTel VoIP and installed new equipment and desktop VOIP applications, software upgrades, cybersecurity, and policy compliance management, as well as support for Citrix and VMware virtual servers, thin clients, and PC workstations’ enterprise applications relevant to SLCC. Additionally, I supported and maintained Electrophysiology systems and applications, monitored network devices maintaining system and data integrity on servers, short term and long term data archiving, and disaster recovery plans, in addition to the administration of domain accounts through Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, Windows applications, PHI security, maintaining HIPPA compliance with remote host connections, during regular scheduled hours and the on-call support rotation.

Worked providing PACS technical support, implementation and system integration of DICOM based computer imaging equipment and software with various modalities, setup data storage for long term archiving, LAN, VLAN, VPN hardware/software, including servers, raid arrays, routers, switches, and setting up users to local independent clinics, pharmacies and urgent care facilities using Windows virtual networks, Linux, and VMware servers, in addition to medical imaging application’s technical support to small to medium size clinics and imaging centers LAN/WAN networks, using PACS solutions such as Genesis OmniVue, OmniArchive, and e-Film. I also have provided remote support on DICOM/HL7 PACS in addition to troubleshooting issues on-site, as well as application training to users at various technical levels.

Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and support of PACS servers and workstations, Computed Radiography, Laser Imaging systems, technical support on local area networks, and remote technology associated with Sectra PACS and Integrated RIS, Genesis OmniVue, Omni Archive, and digital imaging equipment interfaces. Routinely assisted a team of application specialists with system integration of DICOM/HL7/PACS with the existing modalities, as well as with the imaging equipment training of clinical staff within the facilities, campus and affiliates. In addition, I regularly worked in the development of workflow templates and documentation for specific system components, and configurations with modalities, LAN/VPN and disaster recovery. I also periodically performed routine maintenance of data reports, patient demographics and images, and in the establishment of Disaster Recovery Plans for the customer’s facilities. Additionally, I assisted clients in the maintenance of databases, by providing remote support in the making of corrections to patient studies, as well as working with remote tools in the monitoring of the client’s network, PACS servers, and data storage for long- and short-term archiving, and assuring that all data and components were properly backed up, and routinely tested.

Responsibilities included the day-to-day operations of PACS for Missouri Baptist Medical Center, facilitating optimal system performance for accuracy in medical image storage/retrieval with emphasis in reliable high availability conducted in compliance with internal policies and IHE regulatory requirements. I also supported and coordinated various aspects of digital imaging, including image transfer quality and information integrity from imaging modalities (CT, CR, MR, US, etc) in CVIS (ScImage), RIS (GE/IDX Imagecast), Digital Mammography (Hologic) network connectivity and image quality in the recovery rooms of the Cath Lab (GE, and Quinton); also the storage of clinical data in a secure environment or Long Term Archive. Furthermore, I ensured the effective distribution and display of both clinical images and corresponding diagnostic information associated with clinical data workflow, modalities, PACS, and RIS (IDX and McKesson) integration. My work also included tier2 user support for all imaging applications and system software, new revisions and upgrades, ande database integrity and scheduled preventive maintenance, PACS liaison between the department’s medical staff and radiologists. Coordinated with the PACS-Radiology team in the documentation and maintenance of policies and procedures for cybersecurity, disaster recovery, data integrity workflow, and future system’s expansion and imaging dynamic, in addition to supporting in the integration and analysis of the dictation software (Nuance PowerScribe) through testing, implementation, training, and documentation. Also, worked with vendor applications and upgrades, technical support with engineers from PACS/UltraVisual system, Powerscribe, ScImage CVIS, and IDX Imagecast RIS. In addition, I provided on-call support on a rotating schedule for several BJC facilities and was required to be available to always respond to routine emergency situations.
