I am currently studying, International Business, at Hogeschool Utrecht from September 2023. I have been selected for the fast track course, which will allow me to complete the degree in three years rather than four. The fast track is reserved for dedicated and motivated students. My primary interests are Data Science; Business Intelligence; Marketing and Information Technology (IT).I recently completed a Data Science Course that exposed me to Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Statistical Modeling. Drawing on my existing coding experience in Java and mathematical strengths, I was able to expand my programming skills in Python and learn how to create Machine Learning algorithms.I would like to find an internship that allows me to utilize these skills to create value for a business. I believe we are in a huge transition period, in the way that work is done, and that rapidly learning to test and apply artificial intelligence to everyday work processes is both critical and urgent.Critical Thinking was a strong theme throughout my secondary schooling career. I believe I have strengths in analyzing arguments, evaluation of information, decision making and problem solving. These are all valuable skills that I will bring to any workplace.Having grown up in South Africa, a country of diverse people, I have learnt to communicate in different ways and work with an adaptable style. My empathy helps me to understand the different ways in which people need to be motivated to maximize their potential.
