I am an experienced Organisational Psychologist, Director and PhD candidate with expertise in psychosocial risk management legislation, psychological health and safety and the broader mental health at work domain. My peer-reviewed research contributes new insights of WHS regulatory activity for psychosocial risk. My journey into organisational psychology developed from my prior career as an intensive care nurse educator and patient safety advocate. This experience ignited my passion for understanding how investments in human and social capital at work can create thriving, productive work and how regulators can lever their instruments and tools for large scale change. Transitioning into psychology allowed me to delve into the complexities of organisational dynamics to develop effective, multifactorial interventions. Through my partnership with Chantale Ruttely at enscarp, we are dedicated to delivering first-class organisational psychology services to business of all sizes across a variety of business issues. We specialise in supporting psychosocial risk management as a key and mandated avenue to foster safe, healthy work cultures. Recent legislative updates in Queensland, which I had the privilege to help shape, emphasise the critical need for organisations to adopt proactive approaches to managing psychological and physical health at work.
