My role at Metro Bank was a face to face customer service based role. My duties ranged from opening bank accounts for new and existing customers, assisting customers with issues related to online banking, helping customers access their safety deposit boxes, and depending on the shift, following store opening and closing procedures. At Metro Bank I learned to use multiple banking softwares on Windows, as well as different types of devices used in banking facilities.

At UNIQLO, I fulfilled a range of duties whilst employed on a Christmas temp contract. On a day to day basis, I alternated between maintaining a neat and orderly appearance on each floor, helping customers with queries, completing 'Click and Collect' orders as well as assisting customers at the 'self checkout' facility. Being on Manchester's busiest street, this helped further develop my customer service skills, and I became better at managing multiple duties at one time whilst remaining calm and composed.

At Tesco, my job was to fulfil online orders. Every morning I would log onto my scanner, and be given a list of items around store that I would scan and put in the corresponding tray. After all the orders were completed that day, I would then put all the items that had been returned that day back on the shelf, or dispose of them if they were unable to be sold. As I worked here during the coronavirus pandemic we saw a sharp increase in the amount of staff we took on, and therefore I often trained new staff on how to do their job. When I wasn't fulfilling the orders, I was helping customers with their queries eg. showing them where an item was, checking in the back to see if we had any in stock or using the Tesco inform app to see if we sold an item.

At STE Waste, I was mainly in charge of targeting potential clients that we thought may be interested in our services. I spent my time composing emails, as well as writing letters and a doing lot of research, creating databases that would lead to us increasing our volume of clientele. As well as this I was also trained to operate the industrial shredder, and was often alone in the office and trusted to deal with jobs myself.

During my time at Footasylum I worked in the stockroom, ensuring the stockroom was neat and organised whilst always being on alert incase I had an order. Once a customer on shop floor requested a shoe in a specific size, I had the order transmitted to me via a walkie talkie and I would use the specific model, size and item number to locate the shoe in the stockroom, before confirming we had it in stock and running it upstairs to the customer. Besides this I also prepared deliveries, unpacking and tagging items, cleaned and hoovered the shop floor and dealt with sending products to other stores. In my time there I was often entrusted to manage the stockroom by myself, increasing my sense of responsibility.
