This is a music criticism website, and my work here consists of contributing to staff articles such as top-10 and year-end lists. I also write reviews of recent albums, EPs, and other releases.

My job consisted of: – Updating and maintaining WeldBham.com– Formatting and posting articles online– Promoting articles on Facebook and Twitter– Creating a weekly email newsletter– Creating a weekly live music calendar– Managing the music section of the print version of Weld– Interviewing and writing feature pieces on bands and local venuesI also spearheaded Weld's first Local Music Issue, which will become an annual feature for the paper.

Assisted in shifting the previous existing student publication (The Hilltop News) to a more relevant magazine format. I have worked to design and plan the publication, and am also coordinating with the staff to produce in-depth feature stories that will serve as the publication's centerpiece.

Birmingham-Southern College

I worked with the editor-in-chief of my college's student newspaper to plan each issue, as well as with staff writers to plan and enforce article deadlines. I also assisted with designing layout changes and the cover of each issue. This position did not last the full year because we began completely revamping the publication (and I was subsequently placed in charge of it).

Under the name Sam McPherson. I was responsible for writing several television news pieces per week, in addition to opinion pieces and reviews. I worked with various PR companies to promote DVD releases and interview talent. During my time here I wrote a total of 888 articles.

I served as an administrator of this LOST fansite from the middle of the show's fifth season until shortly after the end of the show's run.
