Delivering a diverse portfolio of events throughout the year including an annualcamping festival for several thousand delegates from around the world with multiple stages and activities._DEVELOPING EVENTS_- Working with the strategic leadership team to understand the purpose in each event, assessing how each could be delivered in such a way that ensured those goals were achieved.- Developing the events through interaction with delegates & analysing feedback. During my time at Commission, my team developed the camping festival from primarily a teaching conference to a family festival for all ages seeing it grow in size significantly._DELIVERING EVENTS_- Responsibility for the full project life-cycle of each event from initial planning to delivery & review:- communicating with customers & contractors- promotion of the events- drawing together teams of staff & volunteers- appropriate assessment & allocation of resources- clear budget management- writing risk assessments- reporting back to the Commission strategic leadership- at each event working closely with my team to ensure its smooth delivery_LEADING TEAMS_- Building an events team. In total the number of volunteers across my teams amounted to several hundred._NEGOTIATING CONTRACTS_- Sourcing suppliers and contractors- Building strong relationships with key suppliers- Negotiation of contracts_PROBLEM SOLVING_- Overcoming challenges in the planning stages of each event- Working with my team to find solutions when, at an event, issues with contractors, venues, volunteers and delegates called for quick, sometimes outside of the box resolutions._OUTPUT_Under my management Commission's event portfolio grew substantially along with the number of delegates who attended.
