My passion is developing and implementing resilient and productive food systems that sustain communities whilst regenerating farmland. I take a whole systems approach to business and system design and have a proven record in successfully building this through my farm Alderney Roots.I have been fundamental in instigating a progressive and innovative reward based credit scheme for agricultural production on Alderney which has been 4 years hard work aligning civil service, politicians and treasury alike to implement this historic piece of legislation. I aim to expand this program across the bailiwick and promote the benefits of chemical-free farming to the Channel Islands.With 16 years of experience in head and executive chef roles, I have also successfully led initiatives in farm-to-fork menu development, kitchen garden design, recruitment, staff training and more.
