The platform is enabling transformative change to immigration within the Home Office, an organisation worth £1bn annually to the UK economy. My teams are based in the UK and multiple sites around the world. Delivery is particularly challenging given the complex nature of the business and technical environment. To ensure effective delivery I have introduced a customised delivery model based on large scale agile delivery frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, and Disciplined Agile Delivery models. I was requested to take over the struggling Caseworking project due to delivery challenges. I rolled out a recovery plan leading to remodelling of the delivery structure, replacing suppliers and improved end-to-end delivery processes. As part of the remodelling, I introduced efficient 'whole life' supplier accountability and a new commercial model across all the suppliers enabling a competitive landscape to drive quality and delivery within budget constraints. I rolled out a recovery plan leading to remodelling of the delivery structure, replacing suppliers and improved end-to-end delivery processes. As part of the remodelling, I introduced efficient 'whole life' supplier accountability and a new commercial model across all the suppliers enabling a competitive landscape to drive quality and delivery within budget constraints. This has allowed my team to successfully deliver multiple business releases enabling significant savings and improved customer service. To further improve efficiency, my DevOps team introduced a continuous delivery and integration pipeline with automated testing. We utilise docker containers to increase output and eliminate unnecessary waste due to manual intervention. I led the migration of the Caseworking platform to Amazon Web Services in tandem with the rest of the organisation in one of the biggest public sector migrations to AWS. These transformative changes allowed us to deliver our digital services more quickly, more reliably and at lower cost. This was a complex project with an immovable deadline, involving rollout of equipment to 100+ sites across the UK and Europe, involving risky integration with the Home Office’s new biometric system.

I was asked to move to the Cabinet Office to rollout a desktop service to a major government department. I led the work, generating the plan and executing to it. The rollout brought significant benefits to users with new and easier to use technology while being more secure. The rollout was completed ahead of schedule generating savings which were then reinvested in the service.
