I grew up on a small family farm in the Raleigh NC area, where I raised chickens and occasionally helped to plant, harvest, and sell vegetables.During high school at Athens Drive, I founded and ran a Fantasy/Sci-Fi Club including organizing events like dances and roleplaying campaigns, while managing the finances of that club. I also sang in choir. At NCSU, I led a team of three computer science students in the Honors Program in completing a capstone project focused on procedural music generation. I sang in Wolfgang A Cappella while studying.I joined Flexgen Power Systems to work on their HybridOS software platform which load levels on-grid power by storing energy during low usage periods and redistributing it during peak usage. I developed devops and software deployment skills here, and I greatly appreciated the emphasis on environmental friendliness of the power grid.I left Flexgen after starting my own company, Chrysanthemum Productions, focused on sustainability in entertainment. With Chrysanthemum Productions, I produced, crowdfunded, and released our first board game, Chrysanthemum. We have since begun developing a hydroponic automation system for home, commercial, and academic use with the goal of researching optimal growing conditions of crops and using that information to produce high yield. We are currently developing a digital version of the Chrysanthemum game, a new card game called Hekdek, and in early 2025, we will be releasing the first album we've produced. Keep an eye on Chrysanthemum Productions! We've got many more games, comics, music, and sustainability projects in the pipeline.I am also the head of marketing and social media at Gigtasia. We build software and hardware that allows music fans attending concerts to download musicians' live performances immediately after they happen, and share them with other fans.
