My career in waste started 13 years ago as a waste composition site manager. Now I talk about my job in terms of resource efficiency, circular economy, added value partnerships, collaboration across the value chain and engagement and education with lasting behavioural change. The sector of secondary material resources and sustainable resource efficiency is fast moving and dynamic and that is what I enjoy about my job; no two days are the same and I get to work with colleagues that want to make a positive difference. As a founding Director of Resource Futures I’ve been involved in developing the business over the past 10 years. I took over as CEO of Resource Futures in April 2016. This marks the next chapter for Resource Futures in supporting public, private and third sector organisations in instigating positive change to minimise the impact of consumption and production on the environment. Resource Futures is an employee owned non profit distributing independent sustainability business delivering expert analysis and interpretation of secondary material data, high impact communication and education programmes, and innovative reuse and remanufacturing projects.
