I began my journey into learning about the medicinal cannabis world early on. In 2018 I obtained a medical cannabis card, marking a significant shift in my life. I still vividly remember acquiring Super Lemon Haze from the dispensary, which was astonishingly effective for my medical needs, but unfortunately soon unavailable.Confronted with limited choices in the medical program, I immersed myself in researching plant-based compounds beyond cannabinoids, focusing on terpenes prevalent in numerous plants worldwide. This quest brought me to Chinese and Ayurvedic and other herbal medicine practices, where I aligned terpene profiles from these traditional practices with available cannabis strains, refining my pursuit of effective treatments.My research also revealed concerning issues in New Jersey’s cannabis industry, particularly problematic cultivation practices. Determined to source high-quality medicine, I sought out reputable East Coast growers and caregivers. Initially hesitant, encouragement from an experienced caregiver inspired me to start cultivating medicinal plants myself. I dedicated myself to learning organic cultivation techniques, including Living Soil and Korean Natural Farming. Despite initial challenges, my home cultivation efforts were gratifying, producing unique and beneficial medicine.Sharing my harvest with friends led to extremely positive responses, which further ignited my interest in cultivation and medicinal plant research. Recognizing the vast knowledge gaps in public understanding of plant-based medicines, I started educating others informally, deriving satisfaction from aiding them in finding effective remedies for their issues.Now, I am committed to expanding this educational mission throughout New Jersey and eventually on a national scale. My goal is to promote informed, accessible wellness through plant-based care. My experiences emphasize the critical role of education and quality cultivation in realizing the transformative potential of plants for health and well-being.
