About Samantha Rivera Joseph, Phd, Mph

With over 10 years of experience in public health research and practice, I have developed and applied rigorous methods and tools to address complex and pressing issues such as community violence, trauma, minority health disparities, structural and political determinants of health, and addressing antiracism.I am passionate about fostering academic and community collaboration, and leveraging data and evidence to advance health equity and social justice. I have a PhD and an MPH in Community Health and Prevention from Drexel University, and I serve as the Board Treasurer of the Latino Caucus for Public Health, a national organization that advocates for the health and well-being of Latinx communities. I also have experience in nonprofit management, program planning and evaluation, community engagement and outreach, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
