I am an Instrumentation and Controls engineering designer with experience in many different AutoCAD modelling softwares. In my current job I have designed, created in AutoCAD, and conducted FATs for I/O cabinets and electrical panels 120V or less. This includes part selection, heat and electrical load calculations, and wiring diagrams. I have experience working with Process Engineers to create and maintain PIDs as well as using those PIDs to create an Instrument Index and I/O List for later panel design. I also use Revit to create 3D models of instrument location plans, conduit routing, mechanical pipe routing, and associated equipment schedules.In conjunction with our dedicated VDC group, I act as the BIM lead for the I&C and occasionally Process departments within project groups. I can also create in Visio network topology, server elevations, and switch-port diagrams for networking purposes. I have basic training in using and maintaining VMs in VMware and Vsphere.
