Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are critical in this role and involves collaborating with key stakeholders, managing expectations, and communicating updates, progress, and outcomes effectively.

My primary focus in this role is leading the Specialized Support Enablement Program, which is responsible for the Onboarding of all Support Advisors, Retail Specialists and Plus Specialists. This role has required the skills of leadership and coaching with direct reports and a focus on effective program management in order to increase the efficiency and delivery of the Enablement Program.Since I have been leading this program, we have launched new Plus Onboarding, Retail Onboarding and a Support Advisor learning program focused on long-term professional development. Through effective stakeholder management and relationship building, I have also initiated a focus on collaboration that has created a stronger partnership with our Vendor Support teams and allowed our teams to work more closely together and improve the effectiveness of Onboarding at Shopify.

This responsibility extends to remotely leading, guiding, coaching and supporting the Facilitation Leads and their teams across the regions of EMEA, Canada and APAC. This role requires the effective use of skills involving Leadership, Coaching, Strategy, Coordination, Program Management, Operations and Recruiting.The L&D Facilitation Program is responsible for delivering content and managing focused discussion across several teams and audiences with different needs and objectives. The program has been developed to ensure that facilitation can be flexibly delivered to all audiences and Facilitators have been trained to always provide a goal-focused and inclusive environment.

I was responsible for remotely leading a team of 9 Trainers in the Canada West and APAC regions for the L&D Advisor Onboarding program at Shopify. This role required the effective use of skills involving Leadership, Coaching, People Development, Time Management and Coordination.This extensive Onboarding program is a vital part of each new Advisor’s training into the Support organization and our team successfully trained and prepared over 1000 Advisors for their roles in a remote environment.

I remotely led a team of Support Mentors across the global regions of EMEA, Canada East, Canada West and APAC. This role required the effective use of skills involving Leadership, Coaching, Strategy, Coordination, Program Management, Operations and Recruiting.The Support Mentoring Program delivered the on-the-job training for the Advisor team who would be supporting our Merchants at Shopify. Support Mentoring successfully delivered training and coaching in a remote environment to over 1000 Advisors who came through the comprehensive program. All of the new Support Advisors joining the Support organization around the world were required to move through this program in order to be successful in their roles.
