Founder & co-owner of Laki Kane Cocktail Bar, Pan-Asian Restaurant and experiences venue. Responsible for working with two fellow founders to take the business from idea to deployment, growing the single site business to £3.5million annual revenue.Responsible for operational design across all departments of the business, systems implementation and ongoing support of information technology solutions.Implementation, monitoring and management of financial controls and procedures, including board reporting, accountancy oversight, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting and regulatory/tax submissions.Human resource design and operation, including on-boarding and off- boarding, compliance, payroll, interviewing candidates and talent selection.Regulatory and compliance across city council, hospitality regulatory bodies, HRMC, Home Office and others, as well as Health and Safety design, monitoring and ongoing compliance reporting.Advertising and marketing including design of menus, advertising material, email marketing, social media campaigns, paid advertising and print.Supplier Management including contract negotiation, forecasting, order tracking and invoicing.Customer relations, including communications, complaints, legal disputes and review responses.Getting my hands dirty on venue construction, ongoing repairs, venue maintenance and “keeping the venue running.”Now operating as a Director, advising the board on forecasting, future scaling and deployment of the brand into a multi-site business through further investment rounds.

Delivering Project Management, Programme Management and Project Management Office (PMO) services to the Financial Services sector, both within the United Kingdom, and abroad. My focus over the past five years with Deloitte UK has been working within both regulatory and change projects for several of the UK's high street banks; delivering and managing change projects within complex operating environments.

Working within the Enterprise Risk Services team to both deliver, and lead, a range of both IT External Audit Support and IT Internal Audit projects across a range of clients. Focus of this role was on building the grounding in risk, control and IT audit fundamentals and applying this to clients in sectors including Energy and Resources, Consumer Goods, Education, Government and Finance. From a Graduate position, progressing through to Manager, my experience with Deloitte Australia provided the solid framework on which to build my focus on Financial Services Internal Audit and Project and Programme Management.

Delivering data drive IT External Audit Support as part of an international secondment to Canadian member firm of Deloitte. Focus of this position was on the management and delivery of Journal Entry Testing data. This work involved gathering journal data from clients, utilizing Deloitte proprietary tooling to review and analyse data content, and then present findings to external audit teams to assist in more efficient audit delivery. Role also involved delivery of several IT Internal Audits. Position providing me with a solid understanding of the underlying financials underpinning the external audits of major Canadian corporations. It also provide excellent exposure to data analytics and automated data interrogation solutions.
