About Sam Robson

I am a Blackburn Student and University Fellow studying Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Alabama. As an Andrew Goodman Ambassador for Vote Everywhere UA, I lead a team of student voting advocates to prepare our campus for elections, civically engage our community, advocate at the university, local, and state levels, and create sustainable infrastructure for cross-campus partnerships to alleviate voting barriers. I am also conducting research with Dr. Richard Fording on the perceived cost of voting among college students. This year, I had the opportunity to organize a voting rights restoration clinic for people with prior convictions as part of the Blackburn Institute's 2021 Daniel Community Scholars team. I am excited to continue restoration work with the online Return My Vote project this summer and work with the Crossroads Civic Engagement Center to organize the university's efforts for the 2022 midterms.
