For over three years, I have been working as a bricklayer at COOPER & DENNY LIMITED, a reputable construction company that specializes in domestic and commercial projects. I have been involved in various tasks, such as building walls, foundations, arches, chimneys, and fireplaces, using bricks, blocks, and mortar. I have also acquired skills in other aspects of the building trade, such as plastering, drainage, plasterboarding, carpentry, and groundworks, which enable me to work on different stages of the construction process and deliver high-quality results.Alongside my work, I finished my bricklaying course at East Coast College in December 2023, where I learned the theoretical and practical aspects of the trade, such as health and safety, measurements, calculations, materials, tools, and techniques. I obtained a NOCN certification, which demonstrates my competence and professionalism as a bricklayer. My goal is to advance my career in the construction industry and to work on challenging and rewarding projects that showcase my skills and expertise. I am passionate about building and creating, and I value teamwork, professionalism, and innovation.

  I left school at 16 and went straight on to start a Bricklaying Apprenticeship. Since doing this I have now become a fully trained and qualified bricklayer. I have obtained and learnt many skills in this role that broaden my understanding and knowledge about construction.
