    The Balmy Beach Canoe Club is a not-for-profit community sport organization serving the east end of Toronto since 1905. They specialize in paddle sports (canoe, kayak, dragonboat, SUP, surfski) and have programs for every age and ability. They are the premier club for para sport in the country and are well known in the community for the children's programming.I developed, implemented and evaluated youth programs for the Balmy Beach Canoe Club to ensure that programs aligned with organizational objectives. I led the recruitment, training and employee management for the youth programs contributing to high retention rates and program growth. All of my programs are designed to follow the Long Term Athlete Development plan created by the Coaches Association of Canada and sport specialized by CanoeKayak Canada. I increased the retention rate of the program, as well as, almost doubling the enrollment during my time as Youth Program Director. I recruited and managed 6 coaching staff, 70 children, and a $45,000 budget. In conjunction with this main program I helped create and implement Para-Athlete and Coach-In-Training programs. Some of the participants that came through the program during my tenor have gone on to become members of Team Canada as well as coaches and coordinators of the programs at the Balmy Beach Canoe Club.
