As a Social Media and Advertising Intern I am responsible for social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I post daily highlights from NWA Daily's newsletter on social media to engage audiences and increase newsletter visits. I also am selling ad space to local companies in the newsletter, partnering with KC Daily and Little Rock Daily for ad space sales. I set up partnerships and giveaways with local businesses to promote the increase of both NWA Daily and the businesses we partner with. I also get to go to events such as new restaurant openings, concerts, and new local business openings to cover the events

In this role I had the privilege of managing all 26 activity classes that are offered at Pine Cove. I enforced safety measures across the entire camp, managed a team of six high-risk activity guides, led 200 staffers in activity class training, maintained equipment, ensured the safety of 350 campers per week, while also caring for staff in whatever ways needed. I oversaw the growth and development of four goldendoodle puppies, two pools, lakefront activities, high ropes course along with many other smaller activities. I dealt with conflict resolution among staffers and campers. I also led emergency procedure training and dealt with executing those emergency procedures when necessary.

As the External Vice President I am able to deal with all of the outsourcing for the Xi chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi. I have the pleasure of organizing events, working within a budget, organizing weekly calls/meetings, weekly speaking roles before 150+ people, and leading a team of sixteen guys.

In this role I managed approximately 50 lifeguards, creating daily schedules for lifeguards, running a weekly lifeguard inservice, administering swim checks for 350 2nd-5th grade campers weekly, organizing activity classes for 350 campers daily, and maintaining all waterfront equipment.

In this role I get to act as a middle man between the consumers and the chefs. I handle communications, dietary restrictions, delegation between kitchen assistants, and managing scheduling conflicts for other kitchen assistants.

I had the opportunity to work with others by organizing events, meetings, and budgeting with companies that we worked with.

As a second through fifth grade summer camp counselor I had to be able to manage eight young men, keep them and myself on a schedule, be able to respond to crises quickly, and having to be flexible when daily schedules would change due to weather or program.
