From June 2024 I trained as and began work as a Clinical Advisor Paramedic performing telephone triage and being trained in “Hear and Treat Triage”. This allowed me to validate the calls 999 received, provide assessment and advice over the phone and expand my assessment abilities through the use of the telephone.

As a paramedic with the London ambulance service (LAS) I have worked diligently within the organisation to provide care to patients of a varied age and demographics with a variety of illness and injuries. I have continued to keep a CPD portfolio and have been maintaining my Newly Qualified Paramedic portfolio throughout my NQP journey. I have also begun volunteer work within the LAS taking on the role and pioneering the Trans+ representative role, leading the creation of the LAS first Trans+ peer support group. Through this role I support staff and provide assistance to managers within the organisation to make the service a safe place to work for all gender diverse staff. I have organised and attended events, assisted in the creation of new Trans supportive policies, and continue to run the trans+ peer support group. I plan to continue my education in the UK with a special interest in Critical Care and wound care.

As a paramedic with Baseline group I have been involved with various projects both within Western Australia and the Northern Territory. On site my duties have involved attending and organizing Emergency Response Team training, general management of medical centres and equipment, medication administration and maintenance, patient treatment, general health advice for mine sites/workers and collaborating with health teams and physicians.I have also been involved with covid-19 antigen testing on site as well as various other healthcare monitoring roles.

This included organizing the movement of large groups of people, gathering health histories, vital sign assessments and maintaining professionalism and understanding at all times.

Working with SETS Enterprises I worked as the Paramedic for an underground mine in the south west of Western Australia. This involved maintaining the health standard of all workers on site, providing first aid treatments, organizing quarantine and travel of unwell patients, maintaining the medical center and vehicles as well as consulting with physicians to ensure the best standard of care.
