I am an experienced leader in Customer Experience, Public Affairs and Community Engagement with substantial work experience within Local Government and the railway, as well as voluntary experience in the political and education sectors.I currently lead a department which oversees trade union engagement, modernisation, agency contract management and has operational responsibility for rostering, customer service control and passenger assistance.I am a people focussed leader, and I place a huge value on the importance of individual relationships. This guides my approach to engaging with stakeholders, bringing strategic priorities to life and creating a network of third party advocates for his workplace.Outside of work, I am a prolific volunteer and campaigner. I have stood as a Parliamentary Candidate 2007-10 and London Assembly Candidate 2015-16, gaining skills in public speaking, debating, campaign organisation, motivating and utilising volunteers and engaging with the media.I am the Chair of the Bushey St James Academy Trust in Hertfordshire, in which capacity I have overseen the recruitment of key senior leaders and supported the implementation of a strategy which has delivered consistently excellent outcomes for students. I am also the Chair of Trustees for Age UK Buckinghamshire and a Magistrate within the Family Court in Bedfordshire.
