As part of this role, I need to liaise with the other Auckland Council Departments (CCO) such as Watercare Services, Healthy Waters and Auckland Transport to obtain their comments prior to making the final decision of whether to grant or reject the application. I also assist from time to time the Council’s inspection Engineer with some of the major development that require public drainage inspections and testing.• Attending hearings at court for S357 Objections (RMA). This role includes all the preparations and documentation which will be required to represent the Auckland Council at any S357 hearing which the consent Holders can have the right to abject to any consent condition(s) that they may feel it’s unreasonable or unnecessarily to be imposed in the consent.• I get involve in a wide range of Council’s meetings to discuss some of the engineering matters which can be related to updates to the Engineering Code of Practice, the development of the Unitary Plan, Development Engineering Team group discussions, etc.• I act as a Development Engineering Team Leader in the absence of the team leader.
