Managing the sales for the centre and converting leads into business. Managing renewals and the P&L for the centre. Ensuring costs were kept down and that new business came in at the right price. Managing the meet & greet and reception service. Working with the brokers and agents to identify potential business opportunities. Self generate leads and book appointments/meetings for myself to chase new business. Manage relationships with maintenance and other suppliers and audit the centre to ensure standards were high at all times.

Day to day running of building on behalf of in house corporate blue chip client. Educating client as to all areas of H&S, DSE, Fire awareness etc. Managing contractors, maintenance and cleaning partners whilst on site and management of their schedules and scopes of works. Liaising regularly with land lord and educating him on best practice re H&S of his building/premises. Management of reception and team of receptionists. Management of in house meeting room diary and rooms. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, bi annual and annual audits of various types around the building. Manage fire drills each week, PAT testing and statutory testing including 5 year electrical.

Managing team of 14 dedicated conference and events coordinators. Management of in house system. Conduct regular meetings with top clients including Boots, HMRC and RAC to ensure good service and to discuss bespoke events to take place via my team including AGMs and product launches. Run my own training and induction courses. Negotiate on large pieces of business with hotels and conference venues. Audit teams' work to ensure high standards produced. Responsible to reporting to business owners of department progress. Recruitment, 1:1s, appraisals and disciplinaries.

I undertook many roles at Expotel over the 15 years I worked there. The roles include, Reservations Coordinator, Conference & Events Coordinator, Conference & Events Team Leader and Conference and Events Supervisor. In my last role with Expotel, I managed a team of 20 coordinators making sure they answered incoming calls from both corporate and government clients in 3 rings, producing a high quality of work and within the required SLAs. I met with clients to review standards of customer service supplied and implemented best practice where improvements were required. I managed the training and induction for the department and covered for the Conference & Events Manager where needed.
