I am a communications specialist with very strong writing skills with a hunger to perfect my craft. My previous experience includes marketing internships with the American Red Cross and Aflac Insurance. These two positions gave me experience in promoting large organizations and major brands, while also letting me polish my communication skills. I also have experience helping a start-up business get off the ground, as I interned for Divorce Circus, an online resource for individuals who are suffering through separation and divorce. The site focuses on providing information from many different perspectives and professionals in order to best meet the needs of this community. My work for the site includes writing content for publication, social media management, writing marketing and sales materials, contacting prospects via social media for sales, and assisting the CEO in a variety of activities. Following that, I was the Warehouse Manager for Chesapeake Graphics Supplies in Westminster, MD, a company founded on the traits of great customer service and even better products. It was my responsibility to ensure a quick turnaround in preparing items for shipping and assisting the CEO in other business duties. I also have previously worked as a legal writer for Hoffman, Comfort, Offutt, Scott, & Halstad, LLP at their law office in Westminster, MD, writing on topics that range from estate planning, business law, and other forms of legal advising.
